Serenity Now Massage Therapy
Radial Shockwave Therapy is an evidence-informed, non-invasive treatment used to address a range of musculoskeletal conditions. It is particularly effective in the management of chronic soft tissue dysfunction, where traditional conservative treatments have had limited success. Treatment duration typically ranges from 5-15 minutes depending on the size and location of the treatment area, it can also be combined with Therapeutic Massage. Intensity is adjusted based on the patients tolerance and clinical presentation.
This therapy utilizes high energy acoustic pressure waves delivered to targeted tissues. The mechanical stimulus promotes localized increases in blood flow, enhances cellular activity, and supports tissue regeneration. It may also assist in the breakdown of fibrotic tissue and calcific deposits, contributing to improved tissue extensibility and function.
Clinical indications for Radial Shockwave Therapy:
Chronic tendinopathies ( Achilles, patellar, rotator cuff)
Plantar fasciopathy
Lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow)
Calcific tendinitis
Greater trochanteric pain syndrome
Myofascial trigger points
Chronic ligamentous injuries and scar tissue adhesions
